problem with Halo no cd v1.02

if I tread onto "illegal" speak, please let me know. I am just a guy that likes to not change cd's all of the time.

I have been using the Halo no cd v1.02 to play campaign and multiplayer for about 3 days now, when tonight I tried to join a game from the list and the game told me my "cd key was invalid". I have tried un-installing, re-installing, deleting the "my games" folder, reg cleaning, etc. I can play single player but no multiplayer even now that I have re-installed without the no-cd.

I only use the no cd for convenience, I will do without it if that's what it takes, but currently I can't play multiplayer at all.

Is my cd-key officially dead for good? The only other soultion I can think of at this point is go back to the store I bought the game at and tell them I got bad cd and need a replacement. Of course I won't use the no cd crack again, but it still kind of costs "everybody" money when the big picture is involved.

Once again, if this is forbidden speak, I won't be offended if this thread is deleted. I don't believe in wares or stealing, but I do agree it's hard to trust someone over the internet. It seems like this site might be able to tell me if I needed a whole new cd or not.

thanks.
