I see . . .
well here is the situation - I was given a hard drive which fits perfectly into the back end of the ps2, whether it is configured for the network package or the linux package I am not sure, what I would really just like to do is use it as an extra large memory card, so really if there is some software or some way that I can configure it so the ps2 will understand it is available; that's more or less what I am looking to do. Like I said before I am kind of a n00b so I don't really know if this is even possible or if I am asking to do the impossible, but I was kinda just hoping it would all work out.
all in all, does anyone know if I can just format the harddrive plug it in as a master/slave/cable-select and have it register within the ps2 as an extra large memory card? I really appreciate your patience with me, I don't know too much in regards to console gaming, my experience is more PC oriented so maybe what I am asking isn't possible, I guess I was just wishful thinking - thank you again for all the help - and let me know if it's possible
