Ricoh DVD-RW Probs

I've got a pioneer 104, and this afternoon bought another dvd-rw, all they had was Ricoh and my drive wont recognise it.

It either sits there forever waiting on media, or it says illegal media. Thats using Nero (latest version paid upgrade) or Primo.

Anyone else had any probs or got them to work?

Any help appreciated b4 I try to get my refund.
