does your xbox play any of your backups? If not, then I don't think the chip is working. If your modchip was flashed wrong, your xbox could be booting to the normal xbox bios.
I don't think the apple X is flashable through evoX, but the apple X-2 is. X-ecuter is not, but x-ecuter Lit/Pro are. So, if you have the Apple 1/v1.1 or x-ecuter, then your probably screwed. If you have the Apple-X2, or X-ecuter 2, your probably fine.
