bad cd?

Hello,

I'm trying to backup my mohaa 2 - spearhead cd with clonecd or alcohol 120 but the cd reading is very bad in 3 different cd drives.

after 20 minutes it has only read out 1%, that's because I only get 'disc read error at:' messages. Is this part of the safedisc 2 protection or is my cd bad? The installation of the game is going perfectly and quick but this is gonna take forever!

the cd itself doesn't have deep scratches and/or stains. I cleaned it several times but no go.

anyone got a suggestion?
