Thanks Watchout,krondike and TippeX. I also thought it was due to the crack being used but wasnt 100%. I am going to check out what watchout sugested as this makes sence. Also Krodike i did say in my original post that when i play from the original disks (with out a no-cd crack obviously) i have no trouble and so i do have my own cd key but i can understand why you would ask
 I will post back when i have tried the sugestions made so you will know how i got on and other people will also no if they use the search..Thanks for the info guys  Also guys can up-dateing mother board drivers help with backing up games? My guess is it can but again i am not 100% (can you notice a confidence problem )
