Backing up Ironstorm

I fixed the problem and the game is running awesome. Here's what I did:
-contacted a compaq tech who offered a whole list of helps, of which one might have helped.
- I lowered my supplemental cache settings
- I ran the game from my cd-rw instead of the cd-rom and applied the official patch followed by a no-cd from GCW, and bobs your uncle, life is great!
