Backing up Ironstorm
 

I used clone cd 4 to make a copy of ironstorm on my uncles pc, which is a really good pc. When I try to play it I get a message that says: Ironstorm has caused an error in ~ DF 394B.TMP. Ironstorm will now close. I really want to play this game, does anyone have any idea what is going on with my system? I run 750 Duron ,640mb memory ,Ge3ti200 ,Windows ME , and creative soundblaster live-value.

What settings of cloncd4 did you use? Have you already tried alcohol120%?
Shouldn't be that hard to backup as IS is protected by read errors (and cd checks).

I fixed the problem and the game is running awesome. Here's what I did:
-contacted a compaq tech who offered a whole list of helps, of which one might have helped.
- I lowered my supplemental cache settings
- I ran the game from my cd-rw instead of the cd-rom and applied the official patch followed by a no-cd from GCW, and bobs your uncle, life is great!:D

Alcohol 120 Destroys CloneCD and all others!!
 

No version of CloneCD can back-up/copy/duplicate SafeDisc V2.8. I have used CloneCD since version 2.8 and it is really upsetting me. They have not updated the program to deal with anything beyond version 2.7. Try Alcohol 120% it destroys anything CloneCD ever hopes to be...it even can help you out with SecuRom 4.X..My NOLF 2 works like a champ! and for the record I have all the original copies of all my games!!;)

where do I get it?

i used the new version of Clone CD (german) and make an 1:1 Copy form both CD´s of Iron Storm. This works great and i can also copy it more and more. The Settings i used were the Standard setting "Geschütztes Spiel"............................................ .
