Just my 2 cents but if you have Hide CDR Media turned on.... turn it off. (Crosses his fingers)
It appears Secure Rom 2 might actually be checking for the "Clone CD method of Hiding CDR Media". This appears to have been the trouble with Neverwinter Nights for my own case... I really hope this helps.
