Starforce Nightmare ! Sound Issue !

It seems there is no Windows multimedia controller mixer installed. I removed it from my device manager, but now there is no driver at all to be reinstalled, and I looked everywhere on the net. I really don't want to go through the process of reformatting, so if anyone has a clue on where I can get the Windows mixer, it could help me a bunch!!
