I have a Matrix Infinity in a V5 PS2. There are however some strange happenings afoot. My wires are all neat, with good connections, GND is as short as possible and I use 30AWG Kynar for all points, bar 3v3 and GND - those are 18AWG.
Now, the PS2 has lost the date/time setting, and when I try to change them, the date for example which is at 1/1/01 when I try and put the date up, it flicks up and then returns straight away to the original date. The electron swirls are in the centre of the screen together, and I don't get 'Infinity 1.x' under the PS2 logo. However, the chip disables and when there is no controller in port 1 it stays black, but doesn't reboot. Now, I'm pretty sure it isn't me - I've replaced the install twice and it's all sweet. So, could it be a bad flash? Thanks a lot guys, in the meantime, I'm gonna remove the chip - lets start from a level foot. Thanks a lot... LUFCfan
