I was that problem. So now I use my Riteks for media backups and they work fine b/c I ain't puttin them in a ps2. for my ps2, Sony DVD-R. Work like a charm, better than any Riteks. They burn perfectly and smooth playing on the ps2. Hardly any noise, actually none compared to Riteks.
