Brother broke my PS2? Maybe I can fix it? Help!
I have a v7 NTSC ps2. I installed a Magic 3.1 chip about a year ago, and it's worked pretty well until now.
My brother was playing a DVD+R copy of Front Mission 4 and he turned it off to go eat. When he came back, he turned on the PS2 and now it goes right to a red screen with any DVD-R. Everything else seems to work (original bought DVD games, CDR, dvd rips, PS1 originals, PS1 cd-r, etc) but not DVD+R or DVD-R or any type of rewritable DVD. I've tried multiple brands of both +R and -R etc, all go right to a red screen. The PS2 really hasn't been used very much (I would estimate under 200 hours since I got it) and I've never watched any DVD movies on it so I find it strange that something like this would happen. Can anyone help me? |
