Swap Discs..

Hey Guys, I'm new to this and i've been doing quite a bit of reading and I know the overwhelming opinion is swap discs suck and to go with a mod. I agree a mod would be much less time consuming but are swap discs really all that bad?..

I do own that magic set with the flip top lid V7 and other than the little extra effort I don't see anything wrong with them.. They've worked great on all of my games (about 14) from atv offroad to spiderman 2.. I would of course go with the mod if I had the time and resources.. But why are they so dang evil? Sacrificing a shorter wait time i'm able to keep my collecting in really nice shape while using my backups.. isn't that the whole point? I'm just wondering why so much negativity against them..
