I can also vouch for the duo chip as I just got mine back today from being fitted. Very nice reviews. It works Great. Since you are just getting back into the grove, you may want to brush up on the info here as far as backing up goes. I recommend reading the Ultimate Sticky as it has all of the info you will need for back ups.
Pioneer A06 is the choice dvd burner with RecordNow Max as the recommended software and Ritek brand media for ps2 backups. You will find the rest in the Sticky. Happy Hollidays, and welcome to the BEST site on the WEB.
