HOMM5 v1.6 patch = No SecuROM!!!
Just installed the EU Collectors Edition 1.6 patch and noticed it has no SecuROM and doesn't seem to want the DVD in the drive to play!!
Either they finally decided to remove the protection or made a huge fuckup

I just tried the patch with my vanilla EU version. Same thing!
Now if Ubi would just release a patch removing Starforce from Silent Hunter 3, I'd be really happy. |

Having to install 7 patches though is taking the piss a bit! There are no 'cumulative' patches only incremental so we have to keep about 380mb of patches on our HD's just for this game!!

V1.41 - first needed patch: 19MB
V1.5 - second patch: 54MB V1.6 - last patch: 50MB = 123MB. That's not so bad. And nowhere near 380MB if I am allowed to be a d*ck, Barry. ;-) I'm guessing we have different versions in this case thou. :-)

From Maps4Heroes.com:"So, the patches 1.41 and 2.1 are ready to be distributed next monday : the first applies to Heroes 5 (you need to have 1.4 already applied), the second to the addon Hammers of Fate. The links will be posted at this time, of course."
Patch 1.4 is 100+ size. |

My retail EU Collectors ED is v1.0 so I need to install all the EU patches in order

I revise my statement. You need to start with 1.4, then the rest on my list. It's still only about 200MB and four patches. Cheer up Barry. Life goes on. ;-)

Thanks!
Just tried updating v1.0 with the 1.4 patch and it didn't complain about earlier patches Patched to 1.41, 1.5 and 1.6 OK too! I missed the bit about 1.4 being 'cumulative' then ![]() 'Only' need, *gasp*, 229mb of patches now

Damnit, I suffered through installing all the patches last night instead of just starting with 1.4

Yea, I thought I started out with 1.41, and maybe I did. I think that's why my game freezes all the time... ;-)
I found out that 1.4 was cummulative on som ubi-forum. It's not a perfect solution but it's ok. Think about the original SiN. There you had LOTS of patches initially.
