Starforce USB Trick?

Hi,
some of you are writing something about a USB trick - what is it. Is there an easy explanation? Sorry if my question sounds numb.

The trick was, if you had a good image of your Starforce game, you can play it with an usb-drive. Starforce did not detect it.
I think, they managed it to close the trick in the new update for Splinter cell 3.

Thank you!
I hoped it gives a way to make a mini image and play without any cd / DVD on a notebook without drive . . .

They have NOT fixed the usb method it works even when patched to latest version.
I think the starforce developers will have a lot of compatibilty problems trying to block this perticular method.

question

Ok, I have a usb memory stick...
Unfortunately it's only 16 megs.

Could I toss the mini-image onto it, and start up Divine Divinity?

How do I set up the usb stick to be the "CD rom" that the game should refer to?

I would still have to use starforce nightmare to disable my cdrom(s)?

Thanks...

Actually the USB trick is not using USB memstick or USB hdd.
You gotta use a DVD-reader/writer through USB.
That is what they are talking about... :P

I know it is possible to write memory stick driver that makes it appear to be a CD/DVD. Or maybe for those external USB HD adapters so you could have enough storage for complete images and not just mini-images.
