Socom2, error 880....

i've been playing Socom2 for the past week and half with out problems. Tonight i fired up the PS2 to play some more SOcom and it told me my Network config file was created on another ps2. So i go ahead and delete that and create a new one. Now when it accesses the DNAS screen i get error code 880 which states a hardware compatibility issue. What the h3ll is going on?

after doing some research there are others who had this problem. Its not relates to SOCOM either. So i need to run the console id changer and re-enter the numbers. Curious on how and why it lost the IDs?
