Please help me, doom 3

I have doom 3 and am trying to use the no cd patch ( ireally hope this is not in the wrong forum!) I have downloaded it, but now i dont have a clue what to do. Its probally just cause i'm stupid or some thing, but if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

it's not about stupidity man.just extract the contents of the rar to the installed directory.click replace
