Illegal to buymodchip in US?
Is it illegal to buy a modchip in the US? I already bought some from Gamegizmo.com and thought about ordering some more for friends. Gamegizmo is located in Michigan & NY.

To my knowledge it is not illegal to have a chipped ps2. However it is illegal to make COPIES of games.
Copies.....When you don't own the original game...illegal Back-ups......When you own the original game....Legal

chipping and owning a chip is perfectly legal, as you are legally allowed to have one back-up of any software you own.
and as u need a chip in this case, you couldnt get busted

Know wot u mean. I been out of service and EMC Engineering 4 nearly a year now but am still on st/by to nuke Iraq. Perhaps we could just send 'Wot Can Be' into iraq and he could baffle them into submission!! An hour talking with him and they'd shoot themselves! (Sorry WOT CAN BE)  LOL
