a little help please

Hi

Iam new to copying cds and was wondering if anyone could give me any tips on how to do so.

I really want to copy PC games for back up (my four year old brother likes destroying cd's)

I have downloaded CDclone but find it very very slow. It reads the cd very slowly.

How long should it take to copy a PC game, for example The Sims.

Am i using the best software, or is it something to do with my writer, it is brand new - It is a Teac CD -W540E.

Can anyone give me an idea of what i am doing wrong.
