I'm on a PAL PS2 30003 V5 board with Neo 2.2 & AR2 V2.
Be sure to hold the reset button for 3/4 seconds when you start the machine. (no longer than 5 secs though). Try this: 1. Insert the AR2 v2 disc and boot. 2. Select "start game". Swap the disc now with your PS2 copy. No rush, in your own time. 3. Then select start without cheats. When the screen turns to "swap disc & press X" , just keep pressing X (steady pace, but you don't have to go mad!) until the screen dis-appears and the game loads. Don't know if this will be any good for you but it works fine for me & it might be worth a go. Good luck. |

i had the same problem, i could load ea games fine and even boot non-ea games but booting non-ea games with the ar2 would end up in it freezing at that screen after i press x.
this is the way i do it now, and if timed right works every time for me ![]() get to the screen - after start game -> without codes, eject the ar2 cd and replace with backup. then close tray - wait a few seconds and you'll here the ps2 spin the disc a bit, if you try it once you will hear it spins up a bit and then at the end it makes a different souns. if you press x just before the last sound it will start. |
