When my DVD is working..computer goes bizerk!!!

I would suspect that rebekic's burner is not busmastering and is running in PIO Mode or Multiword DMA. This needs to be checked.

Could you please tell how to check that....if you mean device manager/Ide ATA atapi controllers/Prtimary (secondary) IDE channel/properities......the it is set to DMA (ultra DMA mode)..if not give me some more details...Thanks
