You can always try the latest version of Alcohol120% to run it from a hard disk image, though most copy protections these days also try to prevent that. If none of the cracks work for you, my advise is bringing the game back to the store and asking a refund/another game. By the time it's in the budget section, it will be cheaper, the copy protection may be left out (happens to a lot of budget rereleases), or a working crack may have been made. I know you want to play the game now, but we can't always win the fight against the evil publishers with their dumb ass copy protections, so some games will in effect be unplayable for some buyers like you. Returning the game or at least making as much of a stink as possible about it may be your only options.
