Swap Magic and back-ups

So...after my dog totally ruined my Destroy All Humans DVD I decieded to backup all of my games use swap magic to start playing the backups and keep the originals away from the dog.

The problem is Swap magic 3.whatever says that all of my disks (CD or DVD) are not valide PS2 disks.

I used Nero to make backups of the disks.
Is there another program I should be using to get them to work?

I have heard that Alcohol 120% and DVD Decyphter can copy PS2 disks.
any recomendations would be helpful

Alcohol or dvd decrypter will do fine along with good media.Your biggest problem is the swap magic. its not the best choice for playing backups.

ive been using swap magic for eons. i had problems at first but that was down to the tecnique used when swaping the discs.
ive used several types of blank disc from ARITA, TDK, SONY and found sony discs worked best.
make sure your using the correct swap disc ie:
C.D disc for C.Ds
DVD disc for DVDs
ive backed up destroy all humans on a sony disc and have no problems. i burn all my media with DVD Decrypter.
1 idiotic thing i used to do at first was remove the swap disc with the slide tool, replace the disc and press the eject button to close the draw. this obviously doesnt work.
(silly question?) you do have a slide tool dont you?

yep, I have the slide tool and just downloaded DVD Decyphter, will give it all a try

Well to each his own but slide cards are known for screwing up the tray eject. You may be able to play backups with this method but most will tell you its crap. Considering no swap mods are now cheaper than swap magic disc I have to agree.

jcblaze001, did you not read the rules? Did you not read the part about owning the original and being allowed one and only one backup from the original??

Sorry man but we cant help you burn a backup from your friends backup. You can do one of two things here. You can heed this warning, read the rules and remain a member at File Forums. This choice offers you the opportunity to make some friends and learn something. The second choice is you can make a crappy reply like "eDRoaCH" did in one of the threads above and get banned. Its really up to you.

Sorry about that dude. Just trying to get this working, know what I mean. I got a new game last night, and did use DVD decrypter, and it didn't work. I went into ISO and read the cd, and saved it to my harddrive, and then went to ISO (Write) and it didn't work. I am using swap magic w/ the slide Tool, and the PS2 said not a PS2 disc. Can you please help me, thanks, PS SORRY. Sometime it is better getting knowledge from other people...

what game was it you tried to backup ?? as alot are not compatible with swap!!!! what media are u workin with ? -r always! and ritek ,arita etc that use G04-G05 dye (ritek)
not being involved with swap m i cant give you all the answers you need but i am sure there is a site that has dloadable patches for swap magic to get ya games runnin !!!

I tried to Copy the game Juiced, and I am using Imation DVD-R, and when I try to play it on my PS2, using Swap magic Tool, the screen turns blank.

have checked juiced for you on site lufcfan mentioned and there is no fix as yet !!!!!!
for the sake of a few dolla get a no swap mod ........
sorry there aint no more help out there as yet for ya m8.
have you tried any discs mentioned ??????

I never tried Imation dvd-r's. I know the imation cd-r's suck.
