Annoying SLi Bar

Has anyone run into this problem.
I have a SLi bar that fluctuates as the graphics get more or less intense.
I noticed that if i turn my SLi mode to off the green bar isn't there. Also noticed
that its only present during games that i use a no cd/dvd fix.
I should also mention i am running
-vista ultimate 64
-core 2 quad
-4 gig memory
-2 xfx gforce 8600 gt (in SLi mode)

This section is for backup/crack related questions. But check your GFX cards options for a way to not show you the bar its not game related.
