Trouble getting online with the PS2.

Hi my friend just bought a non-modded slim model PS2 and we are having a hell of a time trying to get the online software setup using the PS2 Browser V3 software that comes with the unit.

He has a cable modem, from Optimum Online, plugged directly into the unit. When the modem was connnected to his PC I did an ipconfig/all and thought I had all of the info I needed but I still can't get through.

I don't know what info I need to input in the DHCP Hostname field but I believe every other field I put in the correct info. I understand that I may have to leave everything blank and JUST enter the DHCP Hostname information but again I am not sure what belongs in that field. The only thing that we haven't tried was unplugging and resetting the modem, other than that I entered just about every piece of data in as many combinations as I could think of and it always says error connecting to the DNS.
