Gaps between tracks

I've recently bought a pioneer A07XLA writer and i use Nero 6. Since buying it i've found that if i do a disk with all the tracks are joined (remove the gap) it will not play in most hifi's. It will play the first track and then it just searches. If i leave the gap in it plays.
I use windows XP
Any ideas? Could it be a pioneer firmware problem?

In Nero have you:

1) Changed the gap between each track to zero (Select all, right click, properties...)

2) Burned in DAO mode

No but i'll give it a try.
Just seems strange as i've only ever had to uncheck the Normalize box and check the No pause between tracks and its worked fine.

This is strange, I tried what you said and it didn't work. It plays the first track then doesn't seem to be able to find the next. If i record leaving the gap in between tracks it plays. I've not encountered this problem before.

Djspindizzy2004 is on a distinguished road
This could be really simple problem like the Hi Fi your using doesn't like the copies, try ruling this out by trying the copy in a few different machines and see if you need to upgrade to CD Audio discs instead of teh PC discs??
just a thought .
