My V7's been getting slightly slower during load times, and I wondered if the lens might need a little cleaning (kept the console under a towel when unused, but never cleaned the lens since the day I bought it.)
Since I don't trust myself enough to open the PS2 and clean the lens by hand, I 'd like some recommendations on which brand of lens cleaners are safest to use. That said, should I do anything about it (use lens cleaner), since the PS2 still works relatively well? Also, I need to verify this rumor: will lens cleaners ruin the lens by brushing against it? A lot of people insist it's true, which made me decide against periodically using such products on my PS2. A million thanks for any advice!
