During manufacture, the drives are often changed and tweaked so they are given different TLA number to distinguish between them. When the Plex 24X came out, there was #'s, 0000, 0100 and 0101. There were A LOT of rumours going round that only the 0000 could copy SD2 - this of course turned out to be lies.
There are now many different TLA numbers for the Plex - but I don't honestly think it's making a difference.
BTW: To find the TLA you have to look on the drive itself, which involves opening up your comp and fiddling around till you find that
tiny sticker.
