AOE2 has the very easy protection of Safedisk 1. First of all, update your version of Clone CD (it's up to 3.3.4.1 now).
Your Lite On can write in RAW 96 I think so select read to image file and tick fast error skip. In the fast error skip tab, enter reas retries = 0, error correction = software.
Now burn the image file back to a CD-R.


Most new games contain Safedisk 2 protection which is more demanding on hardware. Your Lite On isn't compatitable, but an new option in Clone CD might help you create a backup of these Safedisk 2 games. When writing to the disk (when it's Safedisk 2), select Amplify Weak Sectors.)
