NTSCONV

Hi all,

I tried using ntsconv to convert a pal .bin image to ntsc but it didn't seem to work. It reported finding some Pal Hex's and that it converted them and the VMODE to ntsc. But when I loaded the game, the screen was all messed up (typical of an unpatched pal game) and the funny thing is that the intro movie was displayed properly (in ntsc I assumed) while the menu screen was in pal.

Does this tool work at all? its available at many ps2 sites including gamecopyworld.com so I thought it would work. Do I need a ntsc patch for this game instead of using ntsconv to get this pal game to work?

I also saw many postings from the UK gamers that they used some SCART lead or something to play NTSC games on their pal tv. I'm in US and has a NTSC tv (non-multi) and I'm not sure if there's such a SCART lead thing in US. I did find a Pal-NTSC converter but it costs $200.

Anyway, please let me know if there is a way to play pal games without getting that $200 converter or a multi-system tv.

Thanks a lot
