Yes, it took quite a long time since the new release came out to us. Hundreds of people are cryin´ to get the thingy released. Now it is here. And again the same people are cryin´ again... Because THIS version isn´t able to start their pirated copies by just one single idiot-secure click...
Let me point out that I am VERY pissed off by those guys.
DT4 is crap? No Way! This release and the earlier versions saved me so much time and fiddling with discs. It makes life so much easier. Without paying any single cent at the developers.
For a while ago I decided to get the supporter/customer level to DT. I paid the little amount of less than 14 € to them. Quite a good deal, isn´t it?
Coz you will get the new pro-release for free when it comes out. (And even the cutomer-version of DT4 is without any adware!).
BUT! Even those few euros are too much for some of this warez-kiddies. Minutes after the customer-release of DT4 it has been shipped to p2p/donkey and bittorrent sites. And all the "need-no-DVD-so-badly"-kiddies here shared it as fast as possible. (Read the posts about DT4 here at the fileforums. Some users wonder why they found no adware in their dt4... Guess why!). Hours later the normal DT 4 has been released with adware in it, sure. But with a single-click you can decide to not install it. But what do people do, even with software they get for free? Yeah, they say it sucks, because it isn´t able to emulate all the protections for the dumbass softwarestealers out there.
So, because of the leak it will take a few more weeks for the real daemon tools pro version to appear. With all the features in it all the cryin´ babies in here want so badly. And I hope the serial-system that will come with the pro will be as hard to crack as starforce has been.
Why? Because without the leaked DT4Customer-Version the Pro-Version had a chance to appear WITHOUT the serial-system. But now it won´t. And am I happy with this. Because the real ASSKICKING features will only be available for the valid customers.

You are wrong i have been using daemon tools since it first came out (before daemon was FCD images
), anyhow I agree daemon is a great program it has many legal uses how ever to make the program cost money is up to the developer if things were your way there would be no open source everything would be a patient / copyright and greedy corporations.
Daemon tools 4 is almost the same as 3.47 that haven't really changed much for how long its been in development, the release of 4.0 was incomplete half of the promised features where incomplete or missing. Thats ok by me if its free (they can take as long as they need to develop it) but if i was paying for something like that i would be pissed.
as for the adware i will support that since they did include a option to disable it and/or uninstall it.
I would rather use the donate button instade
If people could read this 4.0 release was just a jump forward to stop current blacklists since they were getting out of hand, its still very incomplete.
