that depends on which cdi it actually is,if it's the cnn release then it should play perfect but it sounds like you have got the utopia release that someone has selfbooted which had sound problems in the release and would be very hard for you to fix!
as for there being a patch that would be for the usa version that didnt have a selector on it and only ran in 60hz mode
