exact same problem here but check this out ! v7 with magic 3.1 max payne crashes. v7 with messiah 2 game plays fine :-)

just got done chipping a ps2 for a friend in his brand new us v7. we uses the magic 3.1 because he wanted to save a few bucks. i know messiahs better lol ! have one in my sons machine and it works...
