Burn PS2 CD's-no mod
yes, I did a search for this, but didnt find exactly what i want (i looked for an hour or so). I have an un-modded V3 PS2 and I use an AR2 to play, so far, just emulators. Is it possible to play backed-up CD-based PS2 games? If so...what are the steps to back it up (this is the part I've had trouble finding)

Yes you can play backups without a mod. Do a search on knife. This method is not recommended though, as it f*cks up your ps2. To backup cd based games look in the backup procedures sticky and check out the CloneCD tutorial.

alright...i cant do the clonecd thing cuz i lent the game to a friend for a while, but b4 i did, i saved it all to my hard drive (just a copy and paste kinda thing) is there a way to still burn it so its playable and since its an EA game, do i need to patch it and how do i if it needs to be

sorry to be blunt, but the easiest sollution is to get a chip...
where are you??? we can point you in the right direction i'm sure do it now before you trash your console. LK |
And regardless no, if you just copied the game files to your hard disk you can't burn it back, even with a MOD chip. Sorry, there's more on a PSX/PS2 disc than just the DOS-mode files.
