if you want to break the front using the knife method, be warned that eventually you will break the whole console :eek:

The knife trick will work, but like said it will ruin your PS2. It ruined mine. And the front is held on by a clip, so its not impossible to do with out breaking the front off, but it is extremely difficult. The knife trick doesn't work for all versions either.
