Project Cars 2 uses oodle, fifa 18 uses oodle, so maybe in that way he knows that future games will be oodle compressed :p or something else?

because of this, might be incorrect but I just follow a trend to see what might happen.

KaktoR 06-10-2017 07:44

Just found out that oodle is commercial software, so no try here :D

it's a frostbite2 engine game and plz4 worked on it

Frostbite 2 engine uses zlib, not lz4, that's why you got better ratio by pzlib. Frostbite 3 uses lz4/zstd/oodle and maye more compressors. So when you got a game using FB2 engine, use pzlib.

http://uupload.ir/files/v5_2017-10-07_135912.png

KaktoR 07-10-2017 03:45

@Simorq: Can you share me the files in PM? :)

This file is owned by Razor12911 and the ENCODE it has been disabled.

The Warframe also uses Oodle.

Titanfall 2 (v2 0 6 1)-REALiTY.7z

Warframe OodleLib.7z

Of course it consumes a lot of RAM and is slow.:(

Your tools are a lot better and faster..:)

Well I could make it fast but high ram usage and slowness is in oodle's nature, sometimes. You can't help it.

Well pzlib has reached its limits, nothing more to detect in data and thanks.

Snails are slow, you'd think jacking them up with NOS would give them an extra gear and turn them into Vin Diesel's car? :p

shazzla 08-10-2017 10:24

Ups. U misunderstand me.
The target was a little inspiration to code something useful. :)

darkwolves 09-10-2017 00:07

speaking of oodle does anyone know were i can get the oodle230X64.dll??

shazzla 09-10-2017 01:19

I can show a link in pm to the complete x86/64 (v 2.41?) api+dll's...
Only a good coder missing who creates an x64 cli for it. :/

felice2011 09-10-2017 02:16

But .. I do not know if there is anything more up to date, I have not tried their actual compression threshold with their game library..:rolleyes:

As usual, your research, I speak in general, not only of you, is never successful. But, maybe it's a fashion here on the forum, the convincing use of the "UltraARC" of Razor, with all my respect for her work, I personally have never used it, If you search better exist here in the forum several utilities of compression data much more complete, with inside everything that can serve. Search better.;)

noodle is supposed to compress the files i am trying to compress but it doesn't
precomp no effect pzlib no effect

as for ultraarc razor stopped updating that at version 2500 so someone else is doing it
and i do not use ultraarc either i have my own compressor and i run tests and intergrate
useful things into it

Could be false detection?

Edit: Yes, false detection or something. Unextractable after compressing.

You tried to use pzlib without the use of FA on the same file, after inflation can you get the deflation with the same original file structure?:rolleyes:

KaktoR 13-10-2017 07:52

I have used fa of course :rolleyes:

detection on this file is faulty, because every other file works just fine

Yes, but you did not answer my question, did you try to use the same file only with pzlib, without FA ???? I'm asking because it happened to me on some files of a game, and I solved with the using and modifying the arc.groups.;)

KaktoR 13-10-2017 09:51

Ok misunderstood.

No, i have not. Will take a look tomorrow.

VectorItalia 24-10-2017 08:33

How i can use it

hello i want to use it, but i cant understand how i can use it with wich program for compress and uncompress all file, pls can u help me?
i have inno setup for installer

KaktoR 25-10-2017 12:46

I wish there were a possibility to make a export file with files that actually contains zlib streams, especially for games with hundrets/thousands of files .

/for ds4zlib of course

This is normal.:rolleyes:

vollachr 24-02-2018 03:00

I need help, I seems to be getting CRC error on setup when using pZLib3+srep64+lzma64

my method:

Code:

pZLib3:st1+srep64+lzma64:a1:mfbt4:d256m:fb128:mc1000:lc8
My arc.ini for the 3 compressors:

Code:

[External compressor:pZLib3]
header = 0
packcmd = pZLib e {options} -m2 -t25p -c128m - -o - $$arcdatafile$$.tmp -o - <stdout>
;packcmd = pZLib e {options} -t100p - -o - $$arcdatafile$$.tmp -o - <stdout>
unpackcmd = pZLib d {options} -t75p - -o - <stdin> <stdout>

[External compressor:srep64]
header = 0
packcmd  = srep64 {options} -v0 -m3f -a2 $$arcdatafile$$.tmp $$arcpackedfile$$.tmp
unpackcmd = srep64 {options} -d -s - - <stdin> <stdout>

[External compressor:lzma64]
header = 0
packcmd  = lzma64 e lzma{:option} <stdin> <stdout>
unpackcmd = lzma64 d lzma{:option} <stdin> <stdout>

Any ideas why is that?

Thanks
