Hi peterf , thanks for the conversion.
I have a problem, my DVD1 is 4.43 gb.

DVD1 4.43 gb
DVD2 4.36 gb
DVD 4.37 gb

The game is updated at 1.2 version, I chose the english language.

I think the problem is common redist folder. In the installation game folder there are a _commonredist folder that is 116 mb. This folder is also present in Disk 1 after conversion; Disk 1 size without it is 4.31 gb.
I need maybe to delete this folder from installation game folder and re-run the conversion? Or delete it from Disk1?

Delete Directx folder from Disk1 or replace its content with attachment file

Heads up for everyone.These scripts are well, outdated, i was pulling my hair out why it doesnt work, i was getting the BGI0_.BMP file missing all the time, no solution on the net.
After a while, i did my own simple inno freearc installer based on ultraarc automated tool.
HOWEVER, i found out that my old LA noir was having the same error, and i only had it in that form, after some detective work i come up with a theory and then solution.Installers based in this code, have a two GFX ui modes, 4:3 aspect and 16:9 , all fine and dandy.but i have a 21:9 monitor now, so in 2560x1080 mode they were erroring out due to no files for this resolution, solution is simple, put your monitor in 16:9 resolution mode for install.But man, it took me some time.Anyhow, i hope this code is not used anymore.

Also, 1.7 master thied edition still fits 3dvds, have to delete extras from the install folder tho.

A great job peter thank you
i have a little problem bro. i made the conversion and it took a loOOot of time :p
at the end i found that the shortcuts didn't refer exactly to the game.
is there a way to correct this probleme without repiting the conversion from the begining using ur patch ?
THANKS AGAIN

did you read thru all posts?

there is a fix in post #3 for x86 OS shortcuts issue

alias-as 10-10-2015 12:45

The same probleme i executed the patch after conversion and the shortcuts always refer to a wrong directory (see after Binaries there is a number 2 which is not in the source folder look:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Eidos Montreal\Thief\Binaries2\Win32\Shipping-ThiefGame.exe"
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Eidos Montreal\Thief\Binaries2\Win64\Shipping-ThiefGame.exe"
it should be like this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Eidos Montreal\Thief\Binaries\Win64\Shipping-ThiefGame.exe"
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Eidos Montreal\Thief\Binaries\Win32\Shipping-ThiefGame.exe"

pakrat2k2 10-10-2015 15:25

IF I remember correctly the earliest version was in location as you specified, C:\Program Files (x86)\Eidos Montreal\Thief\Binaries\Win64/32
but after updating game to latest version the EXE's ARE in C:\Program Files (x86)\Eidos Montreal\Thief\Binaries2\Win64/32 .... the location DID change to new location.
so Update your game to latest version or

try this then..

Just create a Setup.ini file with your [Executables/Shortcuts] values and Save the ini file in the same folder as the Setup.exe.
This additional ini will 'override' the settings in Setup.exe

[Executable1]
Name=Thief X64
Exe=Shipping-ThiefGame.exe
ExePath=Binaries\Win64
Icon=Setup.ico

[Executable2]
Name=Thief X86
Exe=Shipping-ThiefGame.exe
ExePath=Binaries\Win32
Icon=Setup.ico

See if this then allows the shortcuts on desktop to be in correct folder location.
IF it doesn't work then use different conversion or wait till peter comes back & fixes it.
