Scanning -> E:\Rayman2.exe

[!] Petite v2.2 compressed !

unpacked with olly in 3 secs via esp trick...
0045FCC0 is oep, fix with imprec, done...

Scanning -> E:\dump_.exe
File Type : Exe, Size : 1155072 (011A000h) Bytes
[!] Possible CD/DVD-Check String -> Please insert
- Scan Took : 0.609 Seconds

a quick look in olly showed 2 cd-checks...
00448E39 MOV EAX,DWORD PTR DS:[5113EC]
00405856 MOV EAX,DWORD PTR DS:[5113EC]
-> patch to MOV EAX,1 and its successfull (atleast the exe runs without complaining about missing dll ;P)

I just can't understand what you did... or what this is supposed to mean :confused:

TippeX 18-12-2006 22:58

he explained how he cracked it, using cracker / coder terminology, so it might have gone over your head...
the cdcheck thing could however probably be better done by checking for a write to dword @ 5113ec and patching that, probably only happens once
like mov dword ptr ds:[5113ec], eax
or whatever... patch the proc, not the parts that check ...

Silverian 18-12-2006 23:45

"patch the proc"

What the hell is a proc??? :eek:

TippeX 19-12-2006 00:42

proc = procedure... (code routine)

Silverian 19-12-2006 02:41

So, are all of you guys telling me how to crack the game myself? Because with my current experience in the subject I think I will not gonna be able to do that... That's actually the reason I'm posting here. :D

Can anyone please share the cracked files to play Rayman 2 without CD to the starter of the thread? :p

Have you done a full istallation?

Silverian 19-12-2006 14:07

Of course I have done a Full Installation, I hate the Minimum ones, I hate to scratch or damage my CDs.
