I took a look see at the site that conical tip looks fine enough for me to solder definately looking forward to see how well it works!

Well I called a second time and was again reaausured it will do the job so we will have to wait and see. Now if I can just get them to ship it out soon.

You guys may want to be carefull with this iron as most cordless irons are not ESD safe, and soldering to a PS2 mobo with one might be harmfull. But then again it might be just fine, just thought I would point this out.

What if you grounded yourself when using the cordless?
Like using the static free wrist band ?

This would be grounding you....... not the iron.
