I found a WPI script I created on my server and I am planning sharing it with you guys but I have noticed some bugs so I have to fix it.
This script is the same one which I used for my Battlefield 4 conversion:

I have to recreate the Windows Phone Technology(I like this technology, Animated Bars and etc) anyways, I first have to buy a Lumia 930 and copy the OS to this installer. what is gunny is the fact that my pc is messed up but I manage to use my brothers laptop. I forgot that I backed up somethings in his PC.

U forgot to add [uninstalldelete] section that's why files are not deleting on uninstall. U have made a terrible mistake by giving the source code. People are publishing this without permission

Yep mistakes happen bro, and as for People using this script for commercially will never learn anything in life, I may be jinxing things for them but it is the truth. Oh and the other reason I posted this in public it is because I wanted to share ideas on how I pulled this off, some guy backstabbed me and took the script from my server and because I am only showing a glimpse of what I can do, more scripts will be raining down later on but they will not be coming with source.

If you are using external compression(winrar, 7zip or freearc).
You must set that under [Archive].
Make sure that the file that you have added under Archive section does exist and the fact that it is the correct archive type.
Like for instance, you have Setup-1.bin then you must set {src}\setup-1.bin as source.

If you are using internal compression then set Files under Setup section

if you are using both then do both.

Yep, but the one for compression isn't, I just checked CmD, it saya using packjpg_dll.dll for jpg decompression whereas it should read PackJPG is off. And it must say using cls v0.2.2 something created by ProFrager else the preconp archive will not be extracted, that is why most people get errors for precomp

its possible that the file is corrupt from doing the conversion happens sometimes.redo coversion.another thing its all possible that your anti virus is seeing the file as a virus which a false positive so disable anti virus when doing conversion and before that make sure that file is in the working directory of WPI before starting conversion just incase anti virus has deleted it.

I have a problem with the script, for redist I need to set an argument that point to "Documents" folder of windows so, following the rule described in the script :

The one I added in edited post :
No matter which soft I try (compressor or ultraarc, tested all available versions), it I tick precomp option (tested all versions too 0.38 to 0.42) WPI setup file ALWAYS fail with : "Incorrect version of precomp.exe".

Without precomp option the decompression work as expected. I use WPI 3.1 untouched script from this thread.

Well, If you tested all version from 0.38 to 0.42 (0.38, 0.40, 0.41 and 0.42) then it means you have used a much earlier version or newer version of precomp, 0.43 is not supported by WPI. UltraARC is not supported, only compressor is supported. With precomp, you must be consistent, if you use version 0.38, for decompression, you must use the same version.

Ok I partially fixed my issue, until I do not tick "JPG compression" it seems to work, somehow (crc error at the end of decompression)...I will stop using PreComp for now.

I tried many sets of data and, from what I have seen, precomp should be renamed Uber_Alpha_Proccess...

From 10 sets of data, only 2 were successfully compressed and extracted, 6 times fail at compression and 2 at decompression (CRC error).

It's far too random to be reliable so better not use it...I know some do not have problem with (hard to believe) but it's clearly not my case.

Here is the french translated ini file for Ressource folder, I did not saw any obvious language setting in WPI script so i suppose there is none for now.

On the first screen I see an error in the log windows (bottom), it may be intentionnal btw (manually stopped compilation). Also, I suggest you to use Compressor 2.2 to create bin files since it's officially supported with this script.

You may also encounter problems with windows 8.x/10 since some already reported, try to launch Inno and Compressor with windows 7 compatibility setting.

You can try something else to check if the problem come from bin files or from the script :
Use 7-Zip to create a small archive saved as bin file and generate a new setup for it (don't forget to change archive type from Freearc to 7zip).

Also try to launch the setup.exe with admin rights, Windows UAC/Smartscreen can be very annoying with this type of files.

Nothing was touched beside lockscreen functions I just disabled with comments. Tested and working on my rig.

I don't know why but Compressor crash when I'm using precomp (with or without JPEG option) while, for example TinyTools by ChronoCross do not with those options...

Since UltraARC is not supported and will be remade from scratch I didn't tested it.

The only problem with TiniTools is if you split archives then WPI cannot use them, error:-14, else it can be a good alternative for people having crashes like me with Compressor.

- Title caption = Name of the Game.
- Exec Directory = where the game exe is located INSIDE app folder. For example, if the game exe is directly inside game folder, leave it blank.
- Exec File = Name of the game exe file, for example bak.exe
- Shortcut name = Name of the shortcut, you can basically put anything you want as a NAME. You can also set an action name, for example if this game exe is for x64 OS only.

Whith thoses informations you can easily stop why it's faulty on your screenshot.

@Razor: I do not understand either maybe it's because TinyTools is set to use only 1024MB of ram for compression (even with Precomp) while Compressor use, well, I don't know since we have no size. I also try with low memory usage and it's same result.

I tried with 500MB, 1GB, 5GB and 10GB folders and Compressor crash for both 5 and 10GB, unless I disable Precomp of course. I presumed it was maybe a problem with too "slow" HDD so I tried on my SSD and same result again...

I have 16GB of RAM (Corsair) so I assume it's enough for most of usages.

Look at post #45 screenshot, it will easily tell why you DONT have disk spanning working properly. You have to set disk #, with the archive name, for the second disk.

IE:

Since a friend of mine asked me if I can add internal Inno compression to WPI (because he don't want to mess with freearc/precomp/ect...) I tried and I succedeed.

Keep in mind that internal compression is LESS effective than external but easier to manage (spkanning, Slice size, ect...) and of course quicker to compress/decompress.

Internal compression is enabled by default in this script.
To enable external compression, just change this line :
#define External 0
to
#define External 1

I will assume you can manage internal compression options, just modify them in the script to your preferences. Read Inno online manual for more informations.

I made a try with the game Fairy Fencer F, a small game (~5GB) and I ended up with a ~2.41GB bin files (lzma2/ultra64) while external compression ended up with ~2.08GB (FreeARC: precomp, msc, srep, exe, exe2, delta, lzma) bin file.

Here is a fully french translated version of WPI (No lockscreen with internal compression support).

By default it's still in english, to change language, simply change this line at the bigining of the script :

Since I'm still new to Inno and script language I could not direct translate some sentences because the sentence build is not the same from english to french, for example this english sentence :

As you can see, {#AppName} is not located at the same place so for this type of sentences I added if loop in the code...I know it's dirty but I did not found how to keep {#AppName} as a variable, not a simple string, uninterpreted by the compiler.

If someone know please tell me and I will update the script so you will be able to translate each text without messing with the code :)

You can do it yourself if you want only cosmetic change. If you REALLY want to change it you will have to also modify the mathematical formula razor used to determine installation progress.

I personally see no use to do it. If you want accurate game size in MB, simply use Compressor 2.2, it show the game size in MB (next to input size), just copy/paste it in the script and you're good to go.

You forgot to provide an icon file, for example for Fairy Fencer F, icon file was in the folder Icons next to the script so I made it like this, in the begining of the script :

No. While it's really easy to add it in the script, you will have to find a compatible compression soft to go with it. WPI support only Compressor 2.2 which do not have precomp 0.43 option.

Precomp must not compress the file, in fact, to get good results, the output must beca lot bigger than the input, it even says that in the readme file that came with the exe. If precomp makes the result smaller than input, then do not expect results. I set precomp 0.38 as default for a reason, it does the job perfectly, the output is always bigger than input, unlike the new precomps (041, 042, 043). Precomp 043 will not work just like that, it's complicated, that's why it isn't added on most of my programs, you have to update cls-precomp.dll, you have to inject dll or something like that to make it work, another problem, you don't just use precomp for all files, check the readme or use trial and error because sometimes the final results are even better when you didn't use precomp.
Here's proof:

Input was 10mb.
Precomp038 made it 27mb
Precomp040 made it 27mb
Precomp041 made it 3.3mb
Precomp042 made it 3.3mb
Precomp043 made it 3.3mb

Precomp043 made it 3.3mb

I used a strong compressor from the work of precomp, I used 7-Zip Solid LZMA2.
For precomp038 27mb became 2.5mb
For precomp040 27mb became 2.5mb
For precomp041 3.3mb became 3.3mb
For precomp042 3.3mb became 3.3mb
For precomp043 3.3mb became 3.3mb

Look at post #45 screenshot, it will easily tell why you DONT have disk spanning working properly. You have to set disk #, with the archive name, for the second disk.

IE:
Archive1Source={src}\data1.cab
Archive1Output={app}
Archive1Disk=1
Archive2Source={src}\data2.cab
Archive2Output={app}
Archive2Disk=2

see the difference?

I have it setup exactly as you said and it is not working same error as before...Maybe I have messed up somewhere else...Let me give a little bit more detail...

So I have script setup as you said.
On cd 1 I have:
Start.exe
autorun.ini
Redist --> with all redists inside
Data-1.bin --> compressed with:

arc a -lc8 -ep1 -ed -r -w.\ "Data.bin" -msrep+lzma:a1:mfbt4:d158m:fb273:mc1000:lc8 "D:\compress\*"

Cd 2 is the same only that I have Data-2.bin

And also what exactly is Setup-1.bin, I get only 1 for 2 cds... I probably messed up somewhere here.

Oh yea sorry for that. I rename the compressed bin afterwards and I have double checked.

Oh btw Razor I know you said it is an internal error and will get fixed...but I assumed it got fixed after the update so I just wanted to make sure.

If i click ignore it gives an error for half of the other files in the folder include and when it is through it does not extract second bin. I found out that if i insert disk 1 setup finishes but that way it does not extract second bin

Thanks! But it still kinda does not work... I am definitely doing something wrong. When I insert dvd 2 it does not extract it it skips directly to redists but gives no error.

Something is definitely wrong on my side and since i am no expert in this I blame the cd2... There has to be a setup-2.bin or doesnt it?

Judging the look of the picture, it seems to run in sandboxed environment. If so, that's why it fail, most of AV sandbox protection block dll extractions. You can also check if AV do not quarantine/delete extracted resources, for example AVAST automatically block nz64.exe because it's detected as generic malware.
Last, check windows UAC, it may block resources decompression too.

In 2015 there is still people who don't use AV...incredible...and horrific...

I cannot help you, without any AV your PC is probably full of viruses/malwares that can prevent the setup from working as intended...

My recommandation : DO NOT save any files (probably infected), full format your PC, make clean reinstall and INSTALL AV. I'm sure at 99.99% it will solve your issues.

Having an AV is not almighty of course, but it's the very least you must have on Windows PC...

I understand your frustration and disappointment but don't give these rip offs free advertising by mentioning their site. Trust me I do find it amusing that these so called 're-packing ripoffs' shoot their mouths off at how good they are at repacking but still have to rely on Razor and others for all their work. ;)

First of all, he's not a repacker of CorePack so don't divert everything directly to CorePack, "ShivShubh" is the main repacker there, And yes its full of Zee's installer, just installer, but not the repacks they have made. I really respect Zee and his work, he has done many unique work here.

I just don't know how without even checking you people started to say that CorePack never credited Zee. I am ShivShubh's friend. Before starting CorePack team, ShivShubh even told Zee that he's not like others who steal work and so he will put his name on CorePack's installer and so he did.
