hey i got the dvd version of pop3 and after installation when i tried to run it it asks for the sff key for cd2 which in itself is odd on puttiing the key all system processes come to a halt and after the disk check i get an error message sayin that the key i entered does not match that required for the cd what do i do?

Hehe, I finished this game in record time (like 2-3 nights), since I had to use the unplug method.

-Unplug cd/dvd readers/burners
-mount image
-speed kill mobs

the speed kill thing's pretty cool, and I was like half way thru the game when I realised I could swing around to get into place to speed kill each sand guardian caller (what ever you call em, the ones that call more guardians as long as they are alive)

Personally, I give this game a 8.4 out of 10 (would've got higher, but it's the last in the series.. i want more.. can't wait for Splinter Cell Double Agent ;-) )

ok as i see no standard backup CD CRACK yet. i finished game allready with orginal DVD.but that's it i don't want to do damage to dvd anymore so instead i did backup DVD. but still need crack if sometimes wanna play from backup. not any time soon however, but don't give up from stanard crack. i don't wanna do thoose image files and mount stuff disabling image drives and else...i will wait for standard crack if it will be? what do you think, is there chance to break protection?

I think it is not the original exe.
Because the firm name is the group name (AST:ACT).

But there are 2 problems with this file:
1st: the modification date says: Tuesday, 15th, november 05.
We now have april and nobody found this file months ago???
2nd: It is only an EXE-file. I remember the Toca Race Driver 2 Crack was also only an exe-file. But I cannot believe that a game like PoP3 is crackable with an exe-file only... There are other protected files like the DLL.

Starforce PRO protects nearly all files, that's the problem.
A crack would include the entire game.

you can scan the game with a-ray scanner and see which files are protected

The protection itself is much more complex.
you can compare it with mold in a glass of marmalade. You only see what's at the top but it's nearly everywhere. Starforce does the same. If you change one file (exe) than the checksum changes too and you have to change all files.

Not all things come down to money. Personally if i had a cracking .exe files experience i would like to beat a protection for various reasons but mainly to prove that they aint smarter than me.
Im sure others can find even better reasons than mine or money.

- searching daily for information

and so on.

People have so many reasons, to crack something.
Your mainly point would be also a reason for me!

A working copy of a starforce protected game should only be possible with a cd version of that game. And as far as i know: "POP3" was released as a cd version too. But it's not that easy - that's what i read about:
Q-2: Cloning StarForce is still possible, how does it work ?
A-2: The method of SFCloning is done by first thoroughly measuring where the StarForce verification occur, in order to establish points of reference and configure the patcher, second stage is imaging and prepatching then rescanning, since SFClones are highly media dependant, exact values need to be added for each to expand compatibility, the differences are minor but unforgiving, StarForce verification engine requires near perfect precision to authenticate. The process itself is complex and time consuming however the result is most definitely worth the effort.

Wow it's been months and still no sign of a successful NoCD/NoDVD crack. From what I've read, Prince of Persia 3 is difficult to crack namely because the amir.dll and other files need to be altered in addition to the exe. Hopefully RELOADED or DEVIANCE is working on one.

I don't see what the big hastle is with having to put the actual CD in the tray. Does anyone have a PS2, XBox, Super Nintendo or ANY console? you have to change games, or have a cd in a tray at all times to play those games, but no one is posting over 30 posts to bypass that. Just play with the original game in the tray, if you've got iso's of everything else, then leaving one cd in the tray shouldn't be a problem. I doubt you'll be logging in 100 hours of prince of persia, so the CD scratching shouldn't be an issue.

I do think companies should move onto an online based system like STEAM did with half life 2. take your game to any computer as long as you have your account.

@beretta9m2f: Oh, PLEEZ, don't start it again! In short:
- If you have kids, they will break the original CD/DVD in no time, thus you NEED a crack.
- Games that are not sold on physical media but can rather be played after an activation are a great fuck up in the long run because you won't be able to (re)install and (re)activate them when the developer/publisher gets out of business after X years.
- As for consoles, use modchips or modified firmware for backups and, perhaps, a hard disk for running games off images (or their equivalents).

Oh wells i can understand the plight to want to get something done, but laziness sometimes makes you do more work. popping in a CD into a drive is way easier than unplugging your drives just for a game.

ok:D they are many fixes. but the one that worked for me is this. after reading for hours I decided not to install nothing just DT4.:)

1.-Make an image with Alchohol 120 of the dvd (4.2 GB or something)
2.-Disable all your Alchohol virtual drives (if have any)
3.-Install DT4 (restart pc if asked)
4.-disconect your ide drives or power cables.
5.-Download any image from the german website shown on previous posts.
6.-Go to the folder where you saved your image in step1 and delete the .mds
7.-Paste the image that you downloaded into this folder and rename to what ever name the .mfd file has( you should have to files with the same name but with different extentions on same folder)
8.-Mount this image with DT4
9.-Install the game from this virtual drive (DT4)
10.-Restart pc only if asked after installation. (I didnt had to.)
11.-Run Game and insert CD key or dvd key.
12.- Enjoy!!!!! you can start the game running the shourt cut on desktop or on the auto play of the virtual drive(DT4)

NO need of any software like StartFuck or Sd4hide or SFNightmare I didnt even touch the device manager. I'm pretty sure this works for the rest of the games.
Place your feedback if you got it to work since there are different methods.:D

By the way if anyone can place a mini image on GCW similar to the germans website it will be apreciated by many people by clicking on the banners.

The FAQ isn't useful but I'm going to translate it for practise my english :P

1. Install Daemon Tools 4 with all options
2. Mount MDS image of the game (if you mount the MDF file won't work).
3. Run SFNightmare and click on Disable CD
4. Now open sd4hide and click on HIDE
¡¡Warning!! Don't close any of the applications mentioned, you must keep them active!
Probably this will work with many games of UBISOFT.

I mean Splinter Cell, King Kong... and more.

PD: this is a general help, no mini-image, so you have to find it. Full images are valid too.

By using starforce nightmare though I have surpassed the image problem yet, the image which I load , according to starforce, doesnot correspond to the serial number. However the game runs fine when i try to open it with the original copy.
This image I have created using Alcohol from the original disc.

Im not much of a 23 page reader so i dunno if anyone wrote this...if this method worked for me it'll surely do for you....it doesnt require unplugging youre drives or anything like that....


Step 1.Download Starforce Nightmare

Step 2. Copy Mdf(4.352 GB) and Mds(38kb) from youre DVD to hard drive disk
Step 3. Copied file mount and install with Daemon Tools 4.03HE

Step 4. Start SFNightmare and "Disable CD"

Step 5. Start the game icon from desktop ,enter serial,wait and play!




P.S. I dont have Nforce chipsets or anything involving nforce :)

Oh and...could some one tell me whut happened to violence in game? No beheading or anything like it.

There isn't any working crack available for Prince of Persia The Two Thrones. Although there is a method to make it work under a special case. First you have to create a full StarForce Clone DVD image of your original DVD. This is a complex procedure and I'm not going to describe it. Lets say you finaly managed to create a working copy of your original DVD.

Now how to play: The case is that you have to have only SATA hard disks and only IDE CD/DVD drives. Through the Device Manager you have to disable the IDE controller. Thus your CD/DVD drives will not detected by Windows neither by StarForce protection. The only available CD/DVD drive will be Daemon Tools drive (make sure you have set only 1 drive in Daemon Tools).

"I play PoP:T2T too, and I play it without removing my IDE cables or power cables from my DVD-RW drives. I use Alcohol 120% and DT4 too. maybe this trick would work.
First, make an image of the PoP game using alcohol 120% with an option of starforce protection, and then mount the image using alcohol 120% and then install the game. so the original game is only use for making an image. after installation is complete, shut down your system, remove all optical drives from your system, and then start up your PC. make sure that you haven't type the serial number of the game yet. disable all alcohol 120% virtual drive and start using DT4. make a DT4 virtual drive and mount the image. and then the game ask for a serial number, type it..and that's it. I play PoP:T2T with my optical drive still plugged into my system.

I did that (well, actually it wasn't the original dvd :P), and hell, it worked :| Didn't play yet, but it got in the game, so it is one step forward... the next step is trying to play without unplugging the drives - since I got a nForce 2 or whatevah I think I can give it a try!

The crack from GCW is for the EMEA Version of T2T. You need the amir.exe from the EMEA Version to use it. But when you won't have any dismemberments.

For all of you who want to backup your DVD: the file named "pop3.zbz" isn't required. It is just a 2.4 GB junk file filled with 0x41 byte sequence and it is there only to fill the DVD, since none of setup nor the game require it. So, you can backup you disk with the new crack and without this pop3.zbz, which makes 1.8 GB working image.

This is normal, because the crack is not for the US Version. The crack is for the EMEA version, in which you don't have any dismemberment.

afaik the reloaded crack is the EU cracked version. and if the censored content is in those files that are to be replaced with the EU files, you won't have anything else than with the eu version.

I have uploaded an update for people to test out on their PC DVD-rom version of POP:TTT. There are no guarantees that it will work but try it out and let me know how it goes.

I have included the files that I think should enable decaps in the PC DVD-rom version and also allow you to view the missing extra videos.

Somebody on a different forum said that you could maybe enable the decapitations with the amir.exe and amir.dll files and maybe even with the pop3.exe files so I have included these files from my original 3cd installation in a folder called 3cdexe try these files out if the files in the pop3decaps folder don’t seem to make any difference.

I have also included the fixed amir.exe and amir.dll in the pop3decaps folder. From the GAMEFAQS forum I found out from another user that all 3 of the files seem to have the same version number and that only the file size is different:

Pop3.exe - DVD 5.43MB (3CD 5.13mb)
amir.exe - DVD 15.3MB (3CD 15.2mb)
amir.dll - DVD 260kb (3CD 259kb)

Depending on which version you have there could be an installed file which tells the system to load the censored\uncensored content for the game. This file could be another .dll or a different file installed in an unkown location.

Check the included .txt file before attempting to modify anything.

I can confirm that the game has been Rereleased recently in Europe as part of The Prince of Persia trilogy under Ubisoft's Exclusive label. I got the the trilogy recently, and starforce has been replaced by a harmless cd check. Unfortunately the game is Censored (Don't know about Us version, or if it exists under this new label, please let me know if it does).

Also, if you're having trouble getting it working, make sure you're using the right CD key. I think the European DVD version and the US 3CD version require different keys.
You can disable it in the device manager IF you have no hard drives on the same IDE controller (eg if you have a SATA HDD) - Disabling the drive doesn't work, but disabling the IDE controller to which it's connected will.

Your only problem is that your image is not good enough.If your device cannot backup SF3 correctly just download correct .mds file from www.copybase.ch and replace your .mds with the downloaded.Then just mount and play.
