i found finallya No-DvD crack for FEAR and its really functionable :D

This crack works for v1.01 too. At least it did for me. :-) Finally, no need to **** with the DVD all the time.

This crack works for v1.01 too. At least it did for me. :-) Finally, no need to **** with the DVD all the time.

the 1.01 patch updated the .exe, so i wouldn't use the cracked 1.00 one after patching the game to 1.01.. it may disable the fixes that came with the patch.

yes i'm sure, just check the version attribute in the properties of the exe file.. it says 1.0.0.0 for the unpatched exe and 1.1.0.0 for the patched one :)

there are two cracked exes posted on GCW, one for 1.00 and one for 1.01 BUT they are both exactly the same file. so there is still no proper cracked 1.01 exe.

There's also a cracked update by an iND for v1.01 and that has the v1.0 crack in it too!

I suppose the v1.0 crack MAY work correctly for v1.01 if they only updated securom and the version number and left the actual EXE the same, or some lamer is just spreading craploads of fake releases because it appears the v1.0 crack works on the patched game?

As far as I've found at the moment, the link posted above (ind crack) is working perfectly on 1.01, played the first three levels without probs. However, looking at the readme, the fixes are for multiplayer, with only one small level fix in single, and so I suspect any issues will show up there.

The V1.0 NoCD works fine with the FEAR update 1.01 patch, no problems here at all.

The cracked EXE for F.E.A.R. is the one from the Demo Version. I think the Publishers didn't watch out for this. So its very nice for us :-)

P.S. This Trick works for some other new Securom games too. (Serious Sam2 etc.)

Emporio cracked the 1.01 update. Wait until someone sends it to gcw.

If its from the original 1.01 exe, that must be the RELA crack! ;)

Any news about it?? There is an Emporio 1.01 crack on GCW...

Is that the REAL one we should really use???

There's also lots of weird crap in the EXE, what looks like a 'mini image', references to DVD drive strings and Daemon Tools. Maybe it's a 1.01 emulator with built in mini image :eek: or just part of the crackers memory dumped with the EXE when rebuilding?

I don't know, but it seams to works good.

I hope that the new exe has rightr about the same in game-code as the original because I really don't want to have some in-game problems for using a bad crack with some modified game-code!

I've now finished the game (waaayyyyy too short in my opinion, I expected a much longer game) using the emporio 1.01 crack and didn't have any problem with it, but that was in Single Player as I don't do Multi Player!

That's the problem today Grumpy, these games are just too short.

I mean it comes on a DVD for crying out loud! Unreal came on 1 CD and took me months to finish not days, and System Shock came on floppys and took me longer than Unreal to finish! Heck, even Wolfenstein, Doom and Blake Stone took longer to finish than FEAR :eek:

Which is one of the hundred reasons why many oldies are goldies. I'm planning to spend some time with playing Wolfenstein-3D and DOOM level addons during the christmas holiday! :D

i found it!thanks!Do you thing that the game is tooooo heavy in graphics ??i have GeForce XT5600 256MB and if some settings are in medium i cant play it!it makes a move every 1000years!!!maybe theres a bug or something...cause i play doom 3 and HL2 in high graphics with no antialising of course!

how long does it take to get through ? I'm now at the level Sayonara, Wichser, dunno English level name. its about 1 hour after you evacuated this guy Bishop with the bomb at his corp...and where you meet the fat programmer the second time...
Well, can you guess how far i am? Quarter? Middle?

BTW: Grupy, thank you for telling me to buy the game its ****ing great, and the performance is better than i expected, at 1024 with all at maxi except shadows and reflections...

BTW 2: the german uncut patch is just great. you have to install the 1.01 patch and just patch one file. still a german menu and heads falling off, exploding bodies after heavy "contact" with my shotgun :P, ...

I got may copy last Wendesday (19th) here in the UK and finished it yesterday (24th), so it took 6 days. I think you're on Interval 05 so about halfway through!

Hope they bring out an addon or free extra levels!
