Is DOOM available as abandonware? Yes, search for it. Is that legal? Not at all. (Is this forum about _getting_ games rather than _backing them up_? No. Is this forum about games that you don't legally own? Hell no!) Erm, what was your question?  Joe

im rlly sory guys, its cos im normally in this part of the forum as some of u know and i didnt realise sooooz, aniways i do actually own the game, in fact i own a very valued limited edition pack, but the point is that its the floppy version for dos, not the doom95 version so thats why i was wondering. i always though abandonware was legal, soz if i was wrong.

well, if u think about it the game is 10 years old now, and its been years since ur actually able to buy it for pc, although i belive u can still get it from the id site, and they released the source code years and years ago, so rlly, is there any more profit to be done out of doom 1?
