will no longer make bin file

i was using a EA nba street tutorial and i burned ncaa2002 succussfully. i have a us version 4 ps2 modded with a neo4. i am now trying to patch and burn nhl 2001 but i cannot find i very good patch for it. with cdrwin 3.8b i have try extracting the pdx-ncaa2002fix.ppf and the .ppf for nhl2001 with both of them it asks me if i want to replace that file. and i do not get a bin file no longer, just a cue file. what do i need to do to get the .bin file once again. and do u know of any good sites to get patches from besides megagames? i see in the third step of nbastreet tutorial, they are extracting a .bin file right away. where do you get that? when i extract pdx-ncaa2002fix, with win zip the only file that i get is pdx-ncaa2002fix.ppf. i burned it once a while back and i thought i wi=ould be able to do it again easily, but i cannot remember what i did so that it worked. this is what i am doing downloading patch off megegames, then putting the game in, opening cdrin, choosin extract then i try extracting the zipped file and the file that has been zipped, and all it has made is a cue file. another question. now that i have the neo 4, i have to reset 4+ times to get them to boot up, anybody now anything on that. if you could get back to be i would be very thankful. thanks

You need to make a bin and cue file off the actual cd that you put into the drive. Once you have your bin and cue you then download the required patch off of mega games site and extract it with winzip to the same folder that your bin and cue are in. To actually run the patch once you have extracted it you need to get a utility off of mega games site called ppf o matic v3.0. Ppf o matic v3.0 will come with instructions on how to use it along with diagrams. Once all of the above is completed you then burn the image using Cdrwin.

Open cdrwin by clicking the third box on the top. select create disc image/cue sheet. select a image file name and destination. click start and it will create a bin,cue file, use ppf-o-matic to apply the patch to the bin file and burn back to cdr. Use the default settings with cdrwin, be sure error recovery is set to abort. If you need a tutorial go to ####://www.psxcopyworld.co.uk/

If the bin file is made then load the bin file and ppf patch into ppf-o-matic and click apply. then load the cue sheet into cdrwin(1st box on top left) and burn to cdr.
