Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City (2xDVD5 - Inno Setup) *Updated*

Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City (2xDVD5 - Inno Setup) *Updated*

Based on C.I. 8.2.8.0 by Yener90
Music: Main menu theme.

Tip: Unicode version of Inno Setup is recommended.
Tip: Remove your original uninstall files before you make the conversion (IF EXIST). --> This is a only suggestion, if you do not want to have two unins000.exe after conversion.

v1.0 - First release. (181 downloads)

v1.1 - Fixed reg entries. (53 downloads)

v1.2 - Not more necessary to change the registry to your language. (Thanks to yener90 that showed the correct value to the registry).
- Change method of the conversion to internal installation. Is very easy!

1. Install the game by the language of your choice.

2. Download attachment and extract in your HD (not in your game folder).

3. Open InstallerScript.iss and change the first line according to your game installation path:

Quote:
#define ProgramFiles "C:\Program Files (x86)\Capcom\Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City"
4. Press compile and wait. ( ~ 10 min)

5. From your DVD9, copy the support folder to RERC_DVD2.

6. Move:

Quote:
Setup-1a; 1b; 1c; Setup.exe; Setup.cab; Setup.dll; Setup.ico; Setup.ini; to RERC_DVD1

Setup2a; 2b; 2c to RERC_DVD2
7. Make ISO's with any label and test before you burn.

Final Sizes:

DVD1: 4.35GB
DVD2: 3.14GB

SCREENSHOTS:

Attached Files
File Type: 7z RERC_v1.2_2xDVD5.7z (8.36 MB, 1843 views)

Smile

Great work but this can be more good if "Data2.cab" File Size is 6.34 gb (on original disk) can be repack and seperated with new one, than their is no need of Inno + Freearc setup, this makes an originality just like GTA IV: Episodes from Liberty City (2xDVD9 to 4xDVD5). But afterall great work I really appreciated. sorry FOr my bad english

Unfortunately i do not quite understand what you said.
With this method, the installation is very quick! (~10 min in my PC)
Freearc is really necessary for external installation, but you can use other methods, check the tutorial about CI 8.0.0.
Unfortunately, I do not have time to test other methods, but when I have so I will test!

Thanks!

MOVE (if exist) the unins000* files from C:\Program Files (x86)\Capcom\Resident Evil Raccoon City folder, BEFORE you compress files with freearc ( so you dont include your ORIGINAL uninstaller files in the archives) then move them back once you have completed making the archives. (To uninstall DVD9 version)

Thanks so much Fabioddq.
It works perfectly on win 7/ 64 bit.
As you used the yener90's Inno Project Source Codes why the conversion is not right in the side of languages as the yener's ones??
I encourage you to fix it .anyway thanks for the time you spent to do such things..

Also do not know, I'll ask for Yener how to fix it.
The conversion of it to the street fighter x tekken it happened too, so I had to change the registry to play in Portuguese.
These were the registry entries used to create the Setup.exe, the last (in red) where this ValueData: 1033 corresponds to the English language.

Quote:
Root: HKLM; SubKey: "SOFTWARE\{code:GetAppPublisher}\{code:GetAppName} "; ValueName: UninstallString; ValueData: {uninstallexe}; ValueType: string; Flags: UninsDeleteKey;
Root: HKLM; SubKey: "SOFTWARE\Capcom"; ValueType: string; ValueName: Installed Applications; ValueData: 0; Flags: uninsdeletevalue uninsdeletekeyifempty;
Root: HKLM; SubKey: "SOFTWARE\Capcom\RERC"; ValueType: string; ValueName: installdir; ValueData: {app}; Flags: uninsdeletevalue uninsdeletekeyifempty;
Root: HKLM; SubKey: "SOFTWARE\Capcom\RERC"; ValueType: string; ValueName: locale; ValueData: 1033; Flags: uninsdeletekey;
The question is: What should be the value that I should use for the conversion to the language that recognizes the user installed the game?
This is my doubt!

change your marked value to:
Quote:
Root: HKLM; SubKey: "SOFTWARE\Capcom\RERC"; ValueType: string; ValueName: locale; ValueData: {cm:LanguageNR}; Flags: uninsdeletekey;
this should fix your problem
