looking for help with AvP2 multi player

hello,i have a backup of alien vs predator 2 and cant seem to play any multi player games.

i dont play on gamespy, instead i use the Multi player option in game and have played on this successfully before.

my problem is after re-installing, i can play the game, single player, but it will no longer allow me to join anygames for multi player. it says my resources differ from that of the server.

i re-installed the game, applied the latest patch, then used the crack for that current patch, it worked before and allowed me to access the multi-player and play online, but this time it wont, and i was wondering if anyone has run into this before.

any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

i just noticed something else, when i start the game, and the little start up box with the mother alien and options appears, there is no sound, and the predator symbols next to the options(play/stand alone server/etc.) are not working. just thought id say that, since when these things do work, i can access the multi player part of the game and play online.

ok, would appreciate any help here, i also just started my own server with password and i couldnt even connect to that, same message, "some resources differ from server"

come on, nobody can help me? anyone run into this problem at all? now its saying it cant find the AVP2.rez file.....any input on getting back my multiplayer would be much appreciated.
