CoH: Tales of Valor mini image problem

I've tried using the poseden/NETSHOW mini image files and the ToV_DC and CoH_DC ones work fine but when I try and use the COHOF_SR one to unlock the Opposing Forces campaign, it fails because Securom detects an emulated drive.

I'm using the latest DT Lite v4.30.3 with SPTD v1.56 and I also tried using the latest YASU, the patched RELICCOH.EXE and UDRO.DLL files from Reloaded and even the patched RS.DLL and RSPA.DLL files that work with CoH_OF, none of which worked.

If you read the instructions you'll see why you fail.
Also, the crack only works for the ToV campaign while you need the serial & DVDs from both games or (at least) the Serial & DVD from the Gold Edition.

Since am without internet @ home, I phone my bro to tell me the serials and used only the images to unlock the 2 previous campaigns.
It's a pain when it comes to check the OF image (takes long time to verify) but the campaigns are unlocked & working properly.

If you can't use the images, at least, use the OF DVD to unlock the campaign - however, once unlocked, you'll always need the DVD on drive to keep it that way.

I have read the instructions thank you and I obviously didn't see anything there that would explain why I'm unable to unlock the OF campaign or I wouldn't be posting.

I thought the crack probably only works for the ToV campaign, but as I said I tried with and without the crack. I've got valid serials for CoH and CoH-OF as well as the original DVDs, but you yourself said you used the image to unlock the OF campaign, which is what I'm trying to do and am unable to do so because I'm getting the "emulated drive detected" error message.

So, to clarify, I've tried an uncracked install, with the CoH-OF image mounted in the first virtdrive and the CoH-ToV image mounted in the second virtdrive. ToV happily validates using the ToV image. When I enter my CoH-OF serial, it prompts for the OF disc and when I click to continue, it shows "Validating Media, Please Wait" for a while, before the "Emulator detected" box pops up in windows and OK'ing that and alt-tabbing back to ToV shows a "Could not verify media" box.

Sometimes we post and then we realize where the problem is and the post becomes useless - happens to me too
Anyway...
I have 2 virtual drives: in the 1st one I've put the CoH image and validate the media. after validate (that was easy) I swap images and then put the CoH:OF image (the long part).

Note: the 1st drive may not be the 1st in DT list. Use the letters.

OK. I think I've already tried what you're suggesting but just to clarify, do you mean you first mount the ToV image in the first vdrive and once that's validated, you then mount the OF image in the first vdrive?

I've already validated/unlocked the original CoH campaign using the image for that.

I'm definitely using the first vdrive, I've currently got F: and I: and I've been using F: for the OF image. I've also tried with only one vdrive.

I've installed the game @ work and using the images this is what I've did:
DTLite 4.30.3 with 2 Virtual Drives (E: & F
1.- on drive F, mount the CoH_ToV image
2.- on drive E, mount the vanilla CoH image and unlock the campaign with your serial.
3.- back to Windows
3.1.- on drive E, mount the CoH_OF image
3.2.- in Daemon-Tools, select "Preferences..." and then "Advanced"
3.3.- select "RMPS" & "SecuROM"
4.- back to the Game, unlock the campaign with your serial and wait for the validation.

Drive E is the 2nd in the DT list but 1st in Windows Explorer.
I think you miss the RMPS & SecuROM step in DT Since ToV & vCoH doesn't use it.

Thanks for the instructions. I tried enabling "RPMS" and "SecuROM" after mounting the OF image on my F: vdrive and before entering my OF serial but Securom is still popping up the "Emulator detected!" error.

That's what I thought but as nando2002 seems to have got this working and I haven't, I was willing to try his suggestion.

????
I always though if the image is created with securom and rmps enabled then the emulation software should use those settings enabled too.

@doveman: sorry pal. I just installed the game @ work to write those instructions. Don't know how to help you more.

No worries, thanks for taking the time to try and help me.

Scanning my ToV install folder with ProtectionID shows a mixture of SecuROM v07.33.0014, v07.33.0016, v07.37.0014 and v07.38.0012 on the files under\validators\. Perhaps a new YASU or DTLite is needed for this game.

@nando2003 -> if the image is mounted, dt does the stuff automatically, the rmps option, and the emulation options are for burned disks only.. unsure about alcohol but i suspect its the same scenario... caused a ton of confusion before, but i remember it being mentioned quite a few times on the daemon tools forum etc...

@doveman - a new yasu was released recently, you could try that (you can find it on the daemon tools forum), and in alcohol its now included as 'a.c.i.d'

Thanks TippeX. I'm using the latest YASU already (1.6.9040) but I'll ask in the DT forums to see if anyone can help.

Well, it worked with DT Pro Adv in a vIDE drive but not in a vSCSI drive. I didn't have to use any additional tools like YASU or DTE. Seems DTE can't cloak vSCSI drives, so perhaps neither can YASU and as DTLite only provides vSCSI drives, that could be the problem.
