MY samsung dvd/cd writer wont Recognise a blank cd

I have a samsung dvd/cd writer not entirly sure what model etc...but it wont recognise a blank cd it just keeps on trying to read it...any steps i could take to get it to recognise a blank cd...it recognises blank dvds fine

it's not recognizing any kind of blank cd?
have you tried to clean your drive with a lens cleaner?

Try a different brand of CDr

Its seems to be all brands of cd r. I will try cleaning it and thanks for the suggestions, any others would be great thanks
